Mark and Julia’s Brighton Wedding

Can’t believe I have waited so long to blog about Mark and Julia’s Brighton wedding. It might be due to the fact that rebuilding my website is taking an age, but even so, this was a wedding that was good for the soul and one of the finest wedding days I have experinced.

I’ve known Mark for a while and when he asked me to photograph their Brighton wedding I was more than happy to accept. The day started as most weddings do, prep, coffee, chat, the feeling of time being endless until about an hour before the ceremony, then everything goes nuts!

The reception was held at Chapel Barn in Sussex, about 30 mins drive from Brighton and that’s where it really took off, in a unique and wonderful way. Firstly everyone in the bridal party had to dance into the venue, no half measures, full on dancing. The bridal party literally took about 10 mins to get into the barn and by the end of it everyone was dancing. When that was done, Brazilian dancer came in through the side door and danced for a further 10 minutes! You get the idea, there was a lot of dancing, in fact it was a bit of a theme.

The Chapel barn is a lovely, intimate venue. The owner, (one of the bar staff), ended up on the bar dancing and handing out drinks. Great bar staff!
