Danny and Holly - Old Down Estate Wedding Photography

It feels like 5 years ago I got a message from Danny asking me to photograph his proposal to Holly. They met at the observatory overlooking the suspension bridge in Bristol, I was there, stealth mode, hiding in plain sight a few feet away from them. Danny dropped down onto one knee and dropped the biggest question he’ll ever ask someone. There were a few tears I think and, thankfully, a yes! That was the first time I met these guys and looking back on moments like this I do feel a real sense of priviledge, I actually got to record a moment in Danny and Holly’s life that will never be forgotten. Here’s a few pics from the actual moment back in Feb 2019.

At this point I’m not sure they had a date or anything for the big day so a few months went by before I got another message asking if I’d like to photograph their wedding at Old Down Estate, of course I said yes. We met for a coffee, talked through the day and we were all ready to go. Little did we know at that point that a virus would cover the whole earth and put a halt to normal life as we know it. The date was postponed once, twice, maybe three times, I can’t quite remember. Eventually, after much re-planning and wondering what the heck was going on, the day actually happened, they were allowed to go ahead with their much anticipated day.

I have to say I was so happy to see these guys married and having the day they’d always dreamed of, they so deserved it. Thank you so much for choosing me to photograph your proposal and wedding day guys, and for your kindness.

Hope you enjoy these images from this Old Down Estate Wedding.
